SOFT OPENING – Saturday August 3, 2pm-5pm

In preparation for our Feast in the Field event on August 10, we are hosting a “soft opening,” sometimes called a beta test in the engineering world (used to test new products). Come join us to taste our wine. At this early stage in the game, we are only licensed to sell wine by the glass ($5 per glass)

FEAST IN THE FIELD – Saturday, August 10, 5pm-9pm SOLD OUT

Gleason Brook Winery is hosting a fund-raising wine dinner for NeighbourWoods North (NWN), a branch of the Owen Sound Field Naturalists. NWN specializes in re-foresting the urban environment of Owen Sound. Last year some three thousand trees were planted on a seven acre field in the northwest corner of Owen Sound Hospital. One of this year’s projects is to start “The Healing Path”, a nature walk for use by patients, visitors, and staff, which will eventually circumnavigate the hospital. Gleason Brook Winery is a small, family owned operation, producing wines from locally sourced grapes and the Niagara region. Our vineyard is located on the “Dolomite Cap” of the NiagaraEscarpment. Our wines are made in the natural style, containing only grapes and yeast forfermentation, with no added sulphites, clarifying agents, or chemical additives. Chef Zachary Keeshig, who apprenticed with Michael Stadtländer, will prepare a special meal using foraged/locally-sourced foods, creating a unique dining experience. Dinner will consist of four courses, paired with local wines, beers and ciders.

A silent auction to include local/indigenous art will follow dinner. Please join us at the winery for this unique event on August 10, 2019, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM.
